about

Dead Space, stereo mix of sound design for split-screen stereo video and sculptural installation with vocal and movement performance, 2005. Originally the soundtrack for a multi-media installation bearing the same title, this remixed version allows for the spatial attributes in the site-specific original work. Plum collaborated with choreographer Nicola Keith to explore a building left empty for 30 years, the sounds you hear are field recordings made in this space, such as Keith tracing through the dirt on a window and Plum sounding the architectural acoustics with her voice.
